The Willink Crest

The Willink Crest

The Willink Crest unites the families of George Henry Willink and his wife, Mary Grace Ouvry.  The acorns are taken from the Willink family shield, and are representative of their Dutch heritage; Dutch acorns planted in English land.  The right side comes from the Ouvry family shield.  Together, they create The Willink/Ouvry Shield, along with the motto 'Fides et Amor' , meaning 'Faith and Love', which was the Willink Family motto.  It was fitting that this became the Willink School Crest, a tribute to Henry George Willink's services to Education in the area.  The crest is worn by all of our students today.
