Sixth Form Destinations 2017

Willink School strives to foster a positive attitude towards learning and prepare each individual student for life long learning, further or higher education and future careers which will render them confident and successful contributors to our society. We were delighted that 100% of our students had been equipped with the qualifications, skills and drive to continue their education and employment training following the 2017 GCSE Examination Series. We were even more delighted that 63% of our Year 11 students returned to study as students at Willink School Sixth Form in addition to welcoming students from other educational settings.

Willink Sixth Form students benefit from comprehensive careers advice and support. Students wishing to apply to university are provided with highly personalised support from our dedicated Sixth Form Pastoral Mentor. Supplementing the support advice and guidance from tutors, the Sixth Form Pastoral Mentor ensures that all students are given the guidance and practical support they need to select courses and institutions that suit their aptitudes and career plans, resulting in extremely high numbers of students securing places at prestigious universities.

Additionally, careers advice is available to students via on-line resources and face to face interviews. We secure independent careers advice for students from Advisa Careers Service, who are able to guide students making decisions about their future when making the transition from school to college, university or apprenticeship.
